Ten Commandments

THE DECALOGUE

​Above all else, God's Law rules supreme. Our Ministry (and its members) unequivocally adhere to God's law.  According to the Ten Commandments, the decalogue of God's Law...

COMMANDMENT I: “You shall have no other gods before me." --- Do not worship any other gods, but your Lord God, the Creator. [Exodus 20:3, Deuteronomy 5:7]

refers to:

Envy, Greed (Sin) - Belief that God, the Creator cannot provide for your physical and spiritual needs the way that a false god can.

Patience, Charity (Virtue) - Belief that God, the Creator provides for all of our physical and spiritual needs.

COMMANDMENT II: “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.  You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,  but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments." --- Do not create any idols or images and worship them in any manner. [Exodus 20:4–6, Deuteronomy 5:8–10]

Envy, Greed (Sin) - Belief that God, the Creator cannot provide for your physical and spiritual needs the way that false god can.

Patience, Charity (Virtue) - Belief that God, the Creator provides for all of our physical and spiritual needs.

COMMANDMENT III: “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name." ---  Always respect and honor the name of God, the Creator, and never use God’s name for trivial or profane purposes, such as cursing, swearing, or making false oaths. [Exodus 20:7, Deuteronomy 5:11]

refers to:

Envy, Greed, Pride, Sloth, Wrath (Sin) - Using God's name when cursing, swearing to God affirming that a lie is the truth or taking an oath under God and perjuring yourself or breaking said oath.

Patience, Charity, Humility, Diligence, Kindness (Virtue) - Tell only the truth in the name of God, and never curse or make false oaths in the name of God.

COMMANDMENT IV: “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.  Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns.  For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy." ---  Rest on the 7th day to remember the Creator took six days to create everything  that exists and rested on the seventh day. [Exodus 20:8–11, Deuteronomy 5:12–15]

Sloth (Sin) - Belief that we as men and women need not follow the example of God, the Creator working for six days to create.

Diligence (Virtue) - Belief that as God, the Creator worked for six days to create and rested for one day, so shall we as his children, made in his image.

COMMANDMENT V: “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you." ---  Show respect, obedience and care towards your father and mother and you will be blessed with a long and prosperous life. [Exodus 20:12, Deuteronomy 5:16]

refers to:

Envy, Greed, Pride, Sloth, Wrath (Sin) - Belief that you father and mother owe you more than the basic care they provide, disregarding the advice and guidance of your father and mother, or disrespecting and/or mistreating your father and mother in any manner.

Patience, Charity, Humility, Diligence, Kindness (Virtue) - Being thankful for all your father and mother provide, giving of yourself to your father and mother, adhering to the advice and guidance of your father and mother and never disrespecting or mistreating your father and mother.

COMMANDMENT VI: “You shall not murder." --- Do not intentionally take the life of another man or woman. [Exodus 20:13, Deuteronomy 5:17]

refers to:

Envy, Greed, Wrath (Sin) - Following through on the act of killing another a man or woman, especially when reacting to emotional triggers.

Patience, Charity, Kindness (Virtue) - Valuing the life of another man and woman, and not allowing yourself to be triggered by emotions to take someone's life.

COMMANDMENT VII:  “You shall not commit adultery." ---  Do not engage in any unjust or unlawful sexual relations outside of marriage. [Exodus 20:14, Deuteronomy 5:18]​

refers to:

Gluttony, Lust, Wrath (Sin) - Succumbing to the sexual attraction to or physical desire for someone outside of God Law.

Temperance, Chastity (Virtue) - Abstaining from sexual activity outside of marriage, or interactions that can lead to sexual activity outside of marriage.

COMMANDMENT VIII: “You shall not steal." --- Do not take the property of another man or woman, deprive them of their property or use their property without permission. [Exodus 20:15, Deuteronomy 5:19]

 

refers to:

Envy, Greed, Wrath (Sin) - Acquiring what is not yours, outside of God's Law.

Patience, Charity, Kindness (Virtue) - Possessing only what you have acquired within God's Law.

COMMANDMENT IX: “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor." ---  Do not misrepresent the truth (e.g. by lying, perjury, omission or concealment) in your relationships with others. [Exodus 20:16, Deuteronomy 5:20]

 

refers to:

Pride, Wrath (Sin) - Lying or omitting the truth to either elevate yourself or someone else, or to hurt or injure someone else.

Humility, Kindness (Virtue) - Speaking the truth despite circumstance or relationship.

COMMANDMENT X: “You shall not covet ” ---  Do not want for anything of which your neighbor possesses (i.e. your neighbor’s house, wife, male or female servant or anything that belongs to your neighbor). [Exodus 20:17, Deuteronomy 5:21]

refers to:

Envy, Greed, Lust (Sin) - Desire to acquire what is not yours, outside of God's Law.

Patience, Charity, Chastity (Virtue) - Applying effort toward achieving possessions within God's Law.

3rd Commandment - No Misuse of Lord's Name
4th Commandment - Keep Sabbath Holy
5th Commandment - Honor Your Father/Mother
6th Commandment - Do Not Murder

DEFINITIONS:

The terms "Church" and "Ministry" refer to the unincorporated self-supported non-denomination 508(c)(1)(a) faith-based organization and body politic of Natione Divinae Libertatis.

​

The terms "Nation" and "Empire" refers to the theocratic democracy and republic/sovereign and unincorporated ecclesiastical body politic (nation/state) of LE'RIAS EMPIRE.

​

Both the Ministry and Nation are worldwide in scope. Similar to The Sovereign Order of Malta, Citizens and Member Associations of Le'Rias Empire may reside in any part of the world.​
